About This Program
This programme is strictly for Catholic choristers to become Catholic Choirmasters. The CHOIRMASTERS’ PROGRAMME in Music is designed to provide formation to diplomats in Music to meet the Spiritual requirements in the areas of Music for Worship, the active participation of Christ’s Faithful, the correct practice of Liturgical Music in particular, and the maintenance of musical instruments.
A product of the CHOIRMASTERS’ PROGRAMME in Music should be able to:-
i. Foster the active participation of Christ’s Faithful
ii. Direct and manage Choristers/Choirs.
iii. Train interested persons to be instrumentalists and singers.
iv. Fabricate and maintain basic musical instruments.
v. Be versed in the Composition of church music in various genres and styles, within the context of social-cultural values and musical traditions.
